The Feathertale Review #18 has been nominated for two National Magazine Awards. The issue as a whole is up for BEST ART DIRECTION, an award which honours outstanding art direction of an entire magazine issue. This is the first time Feathertale has been nominated in this category. Kudos to all the artists who helped make this issue what it was, but especially to Charlit Floriano and Jenn Lawrence who served as art director and lead designer of the issue. Emmanuelle Chateauneuf has also been nominated in the WORDS & PICTURES category for her static take on a classic Archie comic strip. That category honours an outstanding single article that relies for its impact on the successful integration of text and visuals as inseparable elements, and which reflects collaboration by writers, editors, art directors and/or visual creators.
Congratulations also to several past Feathertale contributors on their nominations, including Dushan Milic and Richard Kelly Kemick.
