Feathertale took home its ninth and tenth National Magazine Awards on June 2. Our 27th issue — The Most Shareable Magazine Ever — went into the evening nominated for three awards: Best Editorial Package, Best Single Issue and the Art Direction Grand Prix. In the end, the magazine walked away with Gold in the Best Editorial Package category and Silver in the Single Issue category.
In accepting the awards, Feathertale’s editor said: “Feathertale is a small magazine, perhaps the smallest here at these awards. We have a very small budget and no actual staff. Everyone on our masthead works with us because they aspire to put out the best possible magazine that we can pull together in our spare time. I am grateful to get to work on this project year after year. I share this with them and each of the nearly 50 writers, artists and poets who contributed to this issue.”
