We recently asked poets to craft for us a poem (minimum 20 lines) without using the letter e. Why? That’s a good question that we’re not prepared to answer. There were so many poets with nothing better to do than craft fantastic e-less contest entries. Michelle Luelo’s exquisite use of loopholes in our contest rules wins her the top prize for her poem “Omitt d.” Despite her blatant disregard for the rules we laid out, we admit she outsmarted us and won us over with her witty take on a poem that did not once use the letter e. Congratulations, Michelle!
