The Feathertale Review No. 22 was nominated for the Art Direction Grand Prix at this year’s National Magazine Awards. This was the second time Feathertale’s art directors have been nominated for their work on a single issue. Kudos to all the artists featured in this issue, but especially to Jenn Lawrence and Kara Pyle who made it a stand out on magazine racks. Feathertale Design Director Jenn Lawrence connected each story and poem in the issue with a little plundering from the plunderers, using historical art from the British Library to create collages as bold and ridiculous as the stories and poems they accompany.
Feathertale has previously won six National Magazine Awards: Best Covers (2010), Best Single Issue (2012, 2014) and Humour (2012, 2014, 2015).
