Monday: Of course, it’s only been one day so there won’t be any crits yet.
Tuesday: Okay, this obsessive checking of email is counterproductive.
Wednesday: Maybe my email is broken. Check spam filter. Read all spam in case critiques are hidden inside.
Thursday: Everyone has by now read my story and is about to hit send on my crits.
Friday: Everyone has read my story, hates it and is trying desperately to think of something nice to say about it so I won’t be emotionally scarred by my crits.
Saturday: Everyone has read my story, hates it, and the group is now meeting behind my back to discuss how to kick me out for lack of talent.
Sunday: *head explodes*
